A windy day, over-powered on an 8.1 and a 9.5. First Jeff R. and I sailed on opposing courses; then I chased him. Jeff played the soundtrack for this video. | A very light air day. Pivot-jibing downwind. |

Sunday started out with a nice planable breeze, but exactly when I finally got onto the water it became seriously windy. I was way overpowered with my 8.1 and 6.2 m^2 sails. (More wind ==> you're supposed to use smaller sails.) But I had rigged what I had rigged. So this album is for those who say I make it look easy. Still, every day of sailin' is a great day.
In the morning the lake was pretty glassy. Then in the early afternoon it picked up enough to make me an offer I couldn't refuse. I enjoyed sailing around for a while, intentionally getting wet once in a while to stay cool. Eventually I caught a couple of planable gusts that let me fly clear across the lake over the smooth water. The air was 72F, but the water was frigid. I really hated to fall in, so therefore I fell in a lot -- but it was great to get back out onto the (liquid!) water. This video shows only the most successful moments of the session.
