There was a strong breeze early in the afternoon, with whitecaps, such that I was pretty confident I could probably plane with just a 7.0. However, I had something even better to do. Then when I finally got on the water the breeze declined so that I never did get planing. Still, it was lovely sailing around. Plus I got to watch an eagle(?) and an osprey(?) fishing.
