September 2012: I got a new Severne 8.1 m^2 sail (thanks for the advice, Brendon!) to replace my old MauiSails 8.0 which had two battens broken at the camber inducer (which I had repaired 3 times already) and a ton of package-sealing tape on the monofilm. No more kicking the sail to get the bottom batten to rotate (only in one direction). The first time I took it out in planable wind I was able to beach start, plane across the lake, and do a pretty smooth jibe, shown here. And plane back. Woot!
