This is a non-profit operation. I don't want your money; I want you to donate money to a worthy cause.

I accept as compensation CHECKS* made payable to one of about 36 worthy nonprofit organizations (both local and international). For a private lesson of at least 3 hours I want a check of at least $100. For two learners I require a $150 minimum donation. (Each of the two clients gets their own board and rig to use.) For a group of 3-4, the minimum donation is $175; they will have to takes turns using the two sets of gear.
I then send your check directly to the chosen organization. (For links to those organizations, mouse over "Nonprofits?". If you have a favorite organization that's not on my list, talk to me.)

*If you're traveling, maybe carrying only plastic, we can go online and make the donation directly on the organization's web site, using PayPal or your credit card.

I really do prefer a CHECK made out to the charity, although there are other options.
