This lady from Duncansville had never tried windsurfing but was eager to learn. She did great.

Doing some digital housecleaning, I ran across this video from 4 years ago. It shows how, on Sayers Lake at least, windsurfing can be way more exciting than sailing a boat. (I'm chagrined to see that my jibe now is only a little better than it was back then.)
In her enthusiasm to get into windsurfing. Caroline bought a set of gear that was high quality and modern but entirely unsuited for beginners. (I.e., the board is way too small.) So she and her partner Steve came to me for lessons. I put them on my beginner boards and they did great. Susan got her first windsurfing instruction from me 3 years ago. Since then she has bought a Mistral Prodigy and a number of sail rigs. Yesterday she joined me on the lake to enjoy the light but steady breeze. |
