Saturday afternoon was spent giving a lesson to a man and his 18-year-old daughter. The man had tried windsurfing once before without success. By the end of the afternoon they had learned the basics, and the three of us were able to sail around on the lake. Video by GoPro mounted on the daughter's clew. | On Sunday I gave a lesson to two young friends visiting the USA from Taiwan. The kids shared the Baby Board and the 2.0 square meter sail. Video by their mom. |
The weekend brought in $300 for Amnesty International and Doctors without Borders :)

Kids from USA, Spain, Aruba, Belgium, Russia, Mexico, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Argentina... Competing last week in Brest, France. Early in the afternoon, the wind blew fitfully from the north. I got 8 mostly short planing runs along an unusual track. Much later, the wind abated a lot and my friend Eric, recovering from knee surgery, came out for his first sail since last autumn.
...who had windsurfed before, 30 years ago.
