It was pretty breezy, so I headed down to the lake. To my surprise and delight, there were already four other windsurfers there, all people I hadn't seen in years: Alex and Sveta, who usually sail on Lake Glendale in Prince Gallitzin State Park; and Terry and Tim, who usually sail on Rose Valley Lake or the Montour Preserve. They had all seen the forecast direction of the wind that was pretty favorable for Sayers. The pics below, from GoPro footage from my clew, show each of the other sailors.
Every day windsurfing is a great day windsurfing, plus there were 6 gusts planable with the 8.1 square meter sail I used. So it was windy enough to try a head-to-head comparison of my new Tabou "Rocket Wide" with my old Bic "Techno 2". The videos below show the two fastest runs with each board. They both went 20.8-20.9 mph, but I can't say whether the wind was the same for both runs.
