Finally started windsurfing here at Sayers! I had rigged my 8.1 m^2 sail (biggest and most-used), but the lake was a froth of whitecaps so I was pretty over-powered much of the time. The air was close to 80F but my steamer wetsuit was definitely called for. I stopped midsession to get some gloves, and then quit early because the water is still so cold. However, in another month it should be warm enough to skip the wetsuit.
This is Bill vdB, sharing little vignettes of windsurfing on Sayers Lake, in Howard PA. and sometimes elsewhere.
