I got Jennifer started windsurfing here a year ago. After a 12-month hiatus she came back, eager to move up to a smaller board and bigger sail.
In the afternoon, there was just a whole lot of planing going on. I used a camera on my head and one on the clew to try to capture the action.
I spent a week in Avon, NC with the Baltimore Area Boardsailing Association (BABA). The following photos and videos are from one day (April 30, 2013) on which the wind was very light in the morning (i.e., good for novices) and stronger in the afternoon (planable, at least with bigger gear). [Don't forget the pics can be enlarged by clicking on them, and the videos can be made full-screen by clicking in the lower right corner of the YouTube video window.]
This is Bill vdB, sharing little vignettes of windsurfing on Sayers Lake, in Howard PA. and sometimes elsewhere.
